Established in 2005, Singapore Cord Blood Bank is the first and only community cord blood bank in Singapore. As a non-profit organisation, we serve the needs of patients with blood cancers and immune disorders by providing quality cord blood units for life-saving transplants.
Our community cord blood banking service includes cord blood donation and family banking. Public cord blood donation remains our key focus and parents who opt for family banking have the option of potential donation in the future.
SCBB has successfully facilitated more than 320 cord blood transplants in Singapore and internationally. With all obstetric hospitals in Singapore participating in our cord blood donation programme, we have a public cord blood inventory of over 14,500* units readily available for a life-saving transplant.
As an internationally accredited cord blood bank of Asian ethnicity, SCBB adheres to stringent and internationally accredited standards for the collection, processing, banking and distribution of cord blood units.
